We are offering a special informational 90-minute program on Family and End of Life Caregiving for those of you with aging or disabled loved ones. Sudden physical events, information overload, financial duress, emotional conflict, exhaustion and spiritual strain can all combine to quickly move a person, an entire household and/or family, from being in a sandwich to being in a vice. Furthermore, caregivers typically do not realize early on that they have also entered the stages of grief.
Where do you begin to seek information?
What kinds of help are available?
How do you anticipate while being in a constant state of reaction?
What should you consider relative to your own successful aging....and aging in place?
Eric Rodko, an FCer, will bring you briskly through the various stages of aging decline, caregiving and grief. He has 30 years of professional social work experience in the field of aging and caregiving services, and he himself has twice been an end-of-life caregiver, for his grandmother and mother.
*Subject matter may be sensitive for the young.
