VIRTUE OF THE MONTH
- LOVE -
Love, the highest of the theological virtues, is the selfless commitment to the good of others, rooted in God’s perfect love for us. It is more than a feeling—it is a choice to act with kindness, compassion, and sacrifice. Jesus demonstrated the ultimate example of love through His life, death, and resurrection, calling us to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
True love transforms our hearts, shaping the way we interact with others and view the world. It moves us to forgive, serve, and seek unity, reflecting God’s love in our daily lives.
Practical examples of Love:
Spend Time with Someone Who Feels Alone by inviting them to a meal, sending a message, or simply listening.
Serve Others by meeting needs in your family, church, and community with a willing heart, expecting nothing in return.
Offer to Pray for Someone and follow up to see how they’re doing.
Listen Fully by putting away distractions and giving someone your full attention.
Write a Note of Encouragement to encourage and uplift someone’s day.
On this page, you will find resources, tools, and opportunities available to help develop this virtue into your everyday life.
